Leeds

Shop report photo's & Swot Analysis.

Going into Urban Outfitters this section was exactly the theme and concept of my collection, aztec/native american with the feathered headband and prints

I loved the layout of Jigsaw as you walked down a straight corridor full of clothes and then onto the middle part of the shop which was circular and very art deco with a glass ceiling.

I would love my model to wear this sort of chain onto her leg.

Pop boutique was a ship I could also see my clothing in.

Primitive streak exhibition

Helen and Kate collaborated in 1997 to create a series of fashion/textile designs, spanning the first 1,000 hours of human life. Producing these at London College of Fashion, Helen and Kate worked interactively using design at multiple levels to evoke the key embryonic processes that underlie our development. Seen and acclaimed by millions internationally and called a ‘cultural hybrid’, it changed the course of Helen's career - her time is now devoted to ideas and work rooted in science. Kate is dedicated to the public understanding of science.

14 years on, Helen and Kate have collaborated again to produce new dresses, which explore the science behind the development and function of the lungs.

I loved this exhibition it taught me alot about the human growing, what parts of the body grew first and I didn't know how quickly body parts were formed I loved how they made it into a collection!

John Martin

I went to the Laing art gallery to look at John martins work

John martin (1789 - 1854) is one of the North East's more important artists, the exhibition was the first major exhibition for over 30 years, there were 80 of Martin's finest work including oils, water colours and prints, I think his work is outstanding and the detail was magnificent I stared atg each painting for a very long time to grasp all of its beauty.

This heaven piece was my favourite as it grasped the feeling of what I thought heaven would look like, with everyone dressed in white enjoying the sun.
